River Activist & Co-Executive Producer

Mark Angelo is an internationally-celebrated river conservationist, writer, speaker, teacher and paddler from Burnaby, British Columbia. He is the founder and chair of both BC Rivers Day and World Rivers Day, an event now embraced by millions of people in over 100 countries. Mark was the long time head of the Fish and Wildlife program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) and was appointed as the inaugural chair of the BCIT Rivers Institute before his retirement in 2011. He has been extensively involved in river restoration and conservation initiatives, both in Canada and around the world. Mark has traveled on more than 1000 rivers in well over 100 countries, perhaps more than any other individual. Mark has received the Order of British Columbia and the Order of Canada (his country’s highest honour) in recognition of his river conservation efforts over the past five decades.

Roger Williams is an award winning producer, director and cinematographer who has worked for some of the world’s most respected broadcasters and studios around the world. He has not only produced entertaining and enlightening programming, he has also created Inspired Image Picture Company, one of the largest rental and production service companies in Canada. As a cinematographer, he continues to shoot some of the industries most compelling images.

Robert Zaitzow’s 30 years of experience in Film and Television runs the gamut from writing and editing to Producing and Directing. Over the years Rob has garnered nominations and awards for his work in long and short Entertainment formats as well as Advertising and International Productions. Whether editing in the studio, writing scripts or working on set, Rob continues to pass on his experience while mentoring the next generation of filmakers.

Doug Johnson

Creative Composer

Doug Johnson is known internationally as the original keyboardist for the band, Loverboy, one of Canada’s most successful rock bands and a Canadian Music Hall of Fame inductee.  Doug is also the talent behind numerous musical composition projects that include TV series (multiple seasons), film, radio, song-writing and musical theatre.  Currently he can be found working  in his road studio while touring with Loverboy and working on various musical projects.

Tony Gort

POST-AUDIO / SOUND MIX AND DESIGN

Born in Rhodesia, Tony moved to The Netherlands at the age of 8 and settled in Canada in 1989 to start his career in audio post production. Tony has built his career in Vancouver, British Columbia where he continues to work as a senior sound supervisor, sound designer and re-recording mixer. His selected award- winning feature credits include: Nightwatching, a British-Dutch-Canada co-production for renowned filmmaker, Peter Greenaway; It’s All Gone Pete Tong, a British-Canada co-production for Canadian director, Michael Dowse; and recently finished the Sound design for the Disney plus movie Secret Society of Second Born Royals.

Among his home entertainment and television credits are the recently-finished two seasons of the series Siren for Freeform. Tony has also worked on numerous documentaries including the multi award winning documentary on fashion, RiverBlue.
